Since its founding in 1964, the Sauk County Art Association has supported the visual arts in the following ways:
  • Annual Summer ART Classic Fine Art Festival held the second Saturday in August on the Sauk County Courthouse Square in downtown Baraboo

  • Annual high school student art exhibit held in conjunction with the
    Summer ART Classic

  • Annual scholarship to a continuing art student at the University of Wisconsin -
    Baraboo/Sauk County

  • Annual scholarships to three graduating Sauk County high school students

  • Annual grants of $500.00 each to two county high school art departments on a rotating basis (there are five high schools in Sauk County)

  • Purchase art for the Sauk County Courthouse Permanent Art Collection

  • Annual themed member exhibit and sale (plus membership drive)

  • Annual Recognition Dinner for members and volunteers

Support for other arts organizations, including the Al. Ringling Theatre Friends, the Wisconsin Quilt History Project and Concerts on the Square in downtown Baraboo

The SCAA meets at 7:00 pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the Sauk County West Square Building.  We welcome new members: working artists, hobbyists, corporate underwriters, art collectors and enthusiasts, anyone who simply appreciates the visual arts.

Artist trading cards are miniature works of art, the size of playing cards, that artists trade to each other.  They can be made in any medium.  Check the web for info about ATC trading nationally and internationally.
